Origin has stable production bases for corn, rice, and canola across major plant areaswith over ten thousand hectares. One of our corn production bases in Gansu is known as the "Hybrid Corn Seed Production Kingdom" of China. We also established high quality hybrid rice production centers in Southern China, and have standard production bases for hybrid canola.
Origin is building a new seed production center in Xinjiang province to produce, process, package, and sell high quality seed products for the domestic market. The state-of-the-art seed conditioning plant uses the most advanced technologies on par with major global seed companies and will be one of the largest seed processing plants in China. The Xinjiang joint venture will expand Origin’s seed conditioning and production capacity and open up distribution channels in the northwest region. The facility is launched in the fall of calendar year 2012. Xinjiang province possesses 17% of the total land acreage of mainland China with modern mechanization and advanced irrigation systems.
